All-City Def Wish

All-City just released information on their new 29'er FGFS frame, the Def Wish. This frame is basically a Dropout on steroids. The Dropout's geometry, with its super quick sliders, seemed like the perfect geometry so the guys over at All-City decided to keep it for the most part. Some upgrades in the geometry would be the higher BB and different rear end to fit fatter tires. They are also catering to the needs of the freestyle community by having 14mm dropouts (with adapters if you still wanna run 10mm axles), clearance for 2.0 inch tires slammed without crimps (much stronger rear end), thicker tubing, new gussets, and much more. The Dropout was a great frame but All-City got a lot of complaints about them bending. I think that instead of allowing this to put them down, they channeled it into the necessary push for them to create this awesome frame. This frame just screams redemption. I've always thought that they have one of the best headbadges out of any bike, but I wish that they would bring back the dropouts of the Dropout. I'm looking forward to seeing more of these when they come out in March for $360. They also released the information that they are working on getting out a 26' specific frame, a sprocket, a handlebar, a stem, and a 14mm hub. If you want to read up on what All-City has to say, read up HERE.
