My Daily: Busy Busy Busy
Junior year is a hell of alotta work and its sometimes difficult to balance schoolwork, track, riding, and of course blogging. I've been really stressed out recently and my bike is what I use to get away from all that. I don't do drugs or drink because I don't really see the point of it. I'm not edge or anything but I just don't see why I need drugs or alcohol when riding already takes me away from my everyday problems. Another thing is that I'm super cheap and would rather spend my money on my bike but thats something else haha. This weekend, I took the SAT for the first time and I kind of feel like some weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. After that, I treated myself to a delicious Chipotle Burrito followed by some TV. After I wasn't too full to move, I set out to ride some trails/dirt jumps (first time on the Bruiser). If you haven't ridden trails on a fixed gear, its a lot of fun! The place I went is more known for its dirt jumps and its always fun to ride some of those. Unfortunately for me, the park was crap that day. A bunch of jumps were flooded, the jumps weren't smooth and the ground was all bumpy. I did get in a few little jumps though. Every once in a while, my crank would hit the jump and I'd have to catch myself. I really wish I had a frame with a negative bottom bracket. After a little session there, I rode around to check out some schools to see if they had any good spots. The only thing I found was a long lunch bench that pedal grinded real smooth. After that, I went home and relaxed some more. The next day, (today) I didn't really get any ridding in but I did visit a LBS to ask about truing wheels. My wheels feel super tensioned on one side and a little flimsier on the other. I also stopped my the 7-11 there and I may have found my new favorite Arizona. The Pink Lemonade Arnold Plamer is the shieeeeeet! Overall, this weekend was fun just because I haven't been on my bike for that long in a long time.
